Eyeliner Aftercare Instructions

Follow the instructions carefully to retain pigment, avoid infection and discoloration.

Silver

Using colloidal silver 5-7x a day for 7 days will help your makeup heal a lot faster and prevents infection. Use a clean Q-tip with nano mist to massage around the eye area then use mist directly on the eye.

Ointment (OMIT FOR LASH LINE ENHANCEMENT)

Apply the ointment with a Q-tip a few times a day for 7 days. Eyeliner will look 10% darker and thicker than it will be later. Keep it really moist and the scabs will slide of in 5-7 days.

Healing in eyeliner procedure

  • Follow the General Aftercare included together with these instructions.
  • Eyes may become more swollen the next morning. Ice them right away. If you sleep elevated, the swelling will go down more. If you do swell, you will be swollen for 2-3 days. If you have any bruising occur, this usually goes away after 2-5 days. Vitamin K-1 and vitamin D together can reduce your chances of swelling and bruising. Arnica may help with swelling as well. Consult your doctor to take any supplements.
  1. A slight stinging sensation in the first few days is also normal.
  • The eyeliner will start to form scabs and they might look dark and thick. As the skin heals, the scabs will fall off in random pieces and might look patchy.  Flaking and crusting on the tattoo area may occur.  Avoid pulling off the scabs that are dried on the lashes. When you try to pull off the scabs that are hanging on your lashes, ensure the scabs are soft enough to slide off from the lashes. Use a mascara brush to help remove the scabs. Scabs will take about 7 -10 days to peel off. Do not pick at the scabs or peel them off prematurely.
  • No eye makeup is allowed until the scabs completely fall off.
  • The color will fade approximately 30-50% lighter when the scabs fall off. This is completely normal. Do not feel discouraged if the fading is more than you expected.
  • To achieve the perfect eyeliner, we need to see how your skin accepts the initial application and a touch-up appointment is where we will perfect the shape and color.

Healing Timeline for eyeliner

DAY 1: Your eyes might feel puffy, tight, and tender. You may notice some swelling and bruising. Swelling typically goes down in a few hours, and bruising fades over a few days.

DAY 2: The swelling should be gone. The tattoo looks darker and more intense. Your eyes may still feel dry because your body is locking its natural fluids in to help your skin heal naturally.

DAYS 3-4: Your tattoo may feel dry, itchy, and flaky. The scabs may start lifting from the skin. Leave them alone because picking will cause scarring, unevenness, and blank spots.

WEEK 2: Once the scabs have fully lifted from the skin, the color should look around 50% lighter and less intense.

WEEK 3: You might think the healing process is over, but you’re not there yet. Your skin is still regenerating and the pigments are gradually settling down.

WEEK 4 – 6: Your color is slowly darkening and becoming more intense. The definition is sharper and more pronounced. At the end of this stage, you should be able to see the true color.

WEEK 6: It’s time for a touch-up. After the appointment, the color will be more intense, the definition will be crisper, and the healing process will be much quicker.
